Nult — Guda Bahia

Last week I had the pleasure to wander around Barcelona during the Record Store Day, bought some records for my collection, but mostly saw a few local bands I didn’t know about, one of them was Nult

They instantly caught my ear, and seduced me with their music, I love post-rock, and I liked Nult, and why? because, honestly, this is just so freaking beautiful.

So, hey, fans of Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai, etc, put on your headphones, or turn up the volume, I think you may enjoy Nult too. Go check them out! You can find their album on bandcamp, and follow them on Facebook and Vimeo if you like!

Top Ten Albums of All Time

So this was a bit of a difficult task for me.  I even made a Polaris-Music-Prize-esque long list before shortening it down to about 15 albums.  After a week of decision making and re-listening to all these albums, I’ve come up with my top ten.  I hope you enjoy it.

Explosions In The Sky - Six Days at The Bottom of The Ocean

There are few things better than lying down in bed with the lights out, headphones on, volume up, listening to Explosions In The Sky

Believe me, it’s always a pleasure for me to listen to this band. I feel at peace, my problems vanish, and in my mind conjures up beautiful images. When the song is over, all I want to do is to capture those images on the paper. I guess that’s what’s called inspirational music.

I really hope you enjoy this one as much as I do. Have a beautiful 1st of September, especially our Tuesday panel member from Boston (it’s his birthday)!

Explosions in the Sky - Your Hand In Mine

Hopefully you’ll know Explosions In The Sky, probably the only instrumental group I listen to. If you’ve never heard about them, then you should click the play button.

I don’t know - or at least I can’t remember - how this band came to me, but it really is a good weapon against stress.

So, hey, if you’re stressed with work or school, and you want to relax, take a few minutes to yourself, close your eyes and listen to this amazing song.
