Reagan Youth — I Hate Hate

Reagan Youth was formed by singer Dave Insurgent and guitarist Paul Cripple, while attending Forest Hills High School (the same as The Ramones former members) in Queens, New York, in the early 1980.

They only released an album during their existence as a band, Youth Anthems for the New Order, which was re-released five years later as Reagan Youth (Volume 1). And a second album came alive after the band’s rupture, Reagan Youth (Volume 2).

All their songs in general, are full of provocative and satirical lyrics with strong anarchist and anti-racist messages. In fact, Reagan Youth’s been a part of the anarcho-punk movement and were known for introducing hardcore punk to the East Coast punk scene.

This is one of my favorite tracks by them.

Stop loving hate and hating love.

Viu.
