Coldplay - ‘Til Kingdom Come

Saw Amazing Spider-Man this week. It was Amazing. Some might even say Spectacular. Andrew Garfield gave a very Animated performance and I wish I could see it an Unlimited number of times. I think we’ve reached the Ultimate level of comic book filmmaking.

Sorry, had to. There are a lot of people who have mixed feelings about the rebooted franchise. There are people who loved the first three Spider-Man films and don’t want to see it redone, and others who kind of think this should happen and some people (myself included) don’t care too much, as long as it’s good. One of the movie’s stand-out moments came before Peter even donned a mask: asking out Gwen Stacy. Their love story is way more compelling to me than the Tobey Maguire/Kirsten Dunst pairing and it only took the first 30 minutes of the movie to do so. Maybe it’s because Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are both way more attractive than Maguire and Dunst are, or maybe just more plausible (because really those two did not look like they should be college freshmen). Maybe it’s because they’re not very good actors I like the background music better. I’m gonna go with the third one.
