The Morning Benders - Excuses

The very first time that I heard this song was when I saw a live recording of it on Youtube.  Just so you know, I’m a REAL sucker for string instruments, so when I hear them in a song, I’m basically sold.  The part that I love the most is the middle because it brings the tune all the way down and then slowly builds it back up, one instrument at a time, ending in a fantastic wall of sound effect.  Just great.  This is one of my go-to songs when I’m just working or reading and I just need a little pick me up.  

The Morning Benders formed in 2005 and they hail from Berkeley, California.  The album that Excuses comes from is Big Echo, released in 2010.  The band itself recently changed their name to POP ETC.
