Housse de Racket - Château

A few weeks ago I discovered the album Alésia by Housse de Racket. I’ve been considering posting a song from the album for more than a month now but never felt like it was the song of the week for me (or there was a theme week) and so instead I’ve been keeping this one hidden away, waiting for the right time to strike. Like a pitbull or a US Marine.

Pierre Leroux and Victor le Masne, who are either ex-members of equally French bands Phoenix and Air or were stand-in members of those groups when a usual member was sick (my French isn’t that great and that’s the best I could gather from the Wiki so deal with it), decided in 2005 to expertly mesh those influences to form Housse de Racket and, by touring with Phoenix, gained a fanbase based mostly on their live performances. This is, as usual, very cool.

Give these guys a listen and maybe a download or two. Remember that you can always check them out on Spotify if you want to hear more. Oh, and while you’re there…
